Ron Sanchez out as UVA basketball coach

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) TechnologyUpdates – Ron Sanchez, UVA basketball’s interim head mentor, is out as This system’s complete-time chief.

In keeping with a UVA Athletics information launch, Athletics Director Carla Williams introduced the decision Wednesday, March 12.

“I'm grateful to mentor Sanchez for accepting this part through such a significant time for This system,” Williams claimed, based on the news launch. “Ron as well as personnel furnished wonderful security, assistance and aid for your young Adult males about the team and we've been thankful for his dedication to UVA as well as the values which have been foundational to Virginia Guys’s basketball.”

Sanchez was named Virginia’s interim head mentor in October when Tony Bennett shockingly retired a few weeks before the time started off.

Virginia concluded this season by using a history of 15-17.

Sanchez is a Component of UVA’s basketball plan for eleven seasons, ten as an assistant to Bennett.
